Getting Ready for Baby...

We have been frantically getting ready for baby number #2 around here! We just found out they are inducing me in just a few days (this coming Wednesday)!! I have been pulling out all of Elsie's old things and getting everything washed and ready. Elsie is quite the little helper! She gets so involved and loves to be a part of everything. She is so excited for "Baby Sister" and asks me everyday when she is coming! The other day I got the car seat all washed and ready and of course Elsie thinks its a toy so she kept climbing in it. I snapped a picture and then realized just how big she really is... Look at these two pictures!

Times flies! It made me realized how big my little girl is and I think we are ready for a baby around here!!!

XOXO

Here is a little look at our Valentines this year....

We had a special breakfast of strawberries and french toast and then a secret admirer dropped off presents to Elsie and Dave. I thought I did a pretty good job of hiding but as she was walking in Elsie said "Come on Mommy, why are you outside?".... That night we had a fun little Valentines dinner party with some of our neighbors. Elsie had so much fun playing games and frosting cookies with her friends!!! The next night Dave and I celebrated Valentines alone. The night started out with the best massages (being 9 months pregnant, a massage feels like heaven), then we had dinner at Z Tejas so I could get my salad I have been craving for weeks!! I have the best husband ever! We got treats after and of course in true Dave fashion he orders a kiddie cone of play dough ice cream!! Sadly its the only picture I got of the night!! Hope everyone had a fabulous Valentines Day!!

Someone Just Turned Two....

Happy Birthday to the cutest little two year old we know!! We can't wait to share this special day with you!!! xoxo

Happy 2nd Birthday Elsie Sophia!!!

Today my sweet little beautiful baby girl is two!! I can hardly believe it! Where would we be without her in our lives!! She always has and always will continue to be our little sunshine girl!!

Dear Little Miss Elsie:
We layed in bed the other morning and you asked me to tickle your face ( a new favorite of yours). As I did I started to tell you about your birthday and the day you were born. It seems you have been with us forever but at the same time I can remember the day you came to us like yesterday! It was the best day of my life!! This year has been such a fun and happy year with you!! You are so bubbly and full of personality! The last few months you have grown up tremendously! I look back at pictures and you are not a baby anymore, even though you will always be my baby. Your vocabulary never ceases to amaze me! The things you say and repeat are amazing! You talk so well and can definitely hold a conversation so well! You say some pretty funny things sometimes! A few of my favorites have been: "Oh my gosh", "Okay, Okay here we go, here we go", "Daddy push my bum", "It's okay Mommy is here", " Honey", "I put it in the baggage (garbage), " I need my makeup please"," Mommy I need my shoes, Ill see you tomorrow I am going to so and so's house." You have a pretty amazing memory as well. You can remember things we said to you or events that happened weeks ago. You will just randomly blurt out things that happened days ago that you remember. You are very aware of those around you. Even though you sometimes have a tough time sharing and have a tendency to push if something is taken from you (we are working on it and we are so proud to report you are getting so much better!!!) you are quick to say sorry and you always talk about how it made others feel. You are very aware of your feelings and the feelings of others! You hate to see people get hurt and owes are a major concern of yours. We do a lot of "kiss it better" 's! You still love your books! I always find you in your room quietly looking at your books! It is an image I hope to never forget!! Right now you love Elmo, baby dolls, Disney princesses (especially Tiana and Cinderella), Fancy Nancy, Minnie Mouse, Curious George and Hello Kitty. You love all your stuffed animals "friends". You sleep with a gang of them and its so sweet how you tot them around calling them your friends. You especially love Lamby, monkey, and elmo. You are now in a big girl bed which you love!! When you take naps I go in to check on you and find you have brought up your babies and any other of your friends you could find to sleep with you! You have been insisting that you use the potty lately. The other day you used it for the first time and we were so proud. We are about to start that process so we will see how it goes! That is your personality, you are such a go getter. Within one week you have bailed out of your crib, moved into a big girl bed just great and insist that you now use a potty and wear princess underwear. Mommy can barely keep up! You are such a helper around the house. You are happiest with helping!! You definitely have to do things yourself sometimes! You love to  be independent and a big girl.  You are also in love with makeup, nail polish, and lip gloss, to the point of obsession!! Its pretty dang cute!! You have to do your makeup and get ready everyday!! You also love to play the piano everyday too. You love to sing and play primary songs!! You are such a good little singer. I love to hear you sing throughout the day! You sing "Twinkle, twinkle", "ABC's", "Patty Cake", "lullaby", "Sunbeam", "You are my sunshine", "Counting Song", and "Snowman". We just started gymnastics and you love it! You are such a mover, always on the go! You are amazing at the bars and beam! You are getting so good at summersaults and love the foam pit! You are one active baby girl!! You brighten up our home each and every day with your constant putty patter, giggles and singing!!! You are such a social, independent, strong willed, sweet, silly and happy little thing! We love you so much!! You have so much of your Daddy's and Mommy's personality in you, which means you have a lot, and we love it! Never a dull moment with Miss Elsie!! We are so proud of you and feel so blessed to have you as ours!! Baby sister is one lucky little girl to get you as a big sister! You are so excited for her and we know you will be the best big sister ever!! We love you more than you will ever know! We know you have been blessed with so many amazing talents and attributes!! Always remember how special you are!! Happy Birthday Princess!!!

January

We have not had much going on this month just getting ready for Elsie's birthday, organizing and de-cluttering our house, going to doctors apts (6 more weeks from yesterday), getting some crafts done and getting lots of playtime in with Elsie. I got a new camera for Christmas and I struggle with it majorly. I need help! Its a good thing I have got photoshop actions to make them look better. Here are a few pics of our one and only....

We sure do love this little girlie!!!

Christmas 2011

Christmas was so fun this year with little Miss Elsie! She loves lights and Christmas trees and is very into Nativity's. She loves to find all the baby Jesus'. Here are a few of the highlights!

We had to make lots of last minute shopping trips and Elsie wanted to look her best! To say she is obsessed with makeup (especially lipstick) is an understatement.

We went downtown to see the lights with Daves cousins

We went to lots of Christmas parties

On Christmas Eve we went with my family out to dinner at Rodizio. It's always such a fun tradition!

When we came back Elsie's christmas jammies and books were waiting for her in her bed. She was so excited to get new jammies, minnie slippers, a new blanket and some new books!
After we left some cookies out for Santa and some carrots for the riendeer

That night Santa sure did come!! Elsie got a new pink kitchen, a dollhouse, a new baby doll and accessories, some lipstick and books! She was so excited!!

Christmas day we opened presents and then went to Dave's parents house for the morning/afternoon. That afternoon/night we went over to my parents for some more presents! By the end of the day Elsie was wondering my mom's house looking for anything she could open that resembled a present!

We hope everyone had a very  Merry Christmas!!
