A Milk & Cookies Type of Day

Like I said before, Elsie's molars are coming in with full force... all at the same time. She was having a rough day to say the least. I decided she needed some  nilla wafers to cheer her up. Then I decide I needed some, but with milk. Oh she saw this and was all over it!! So this was how we spent our afternoon...

March

I have not posted anything we have done lately. It might be due to the fact that Elsie has been sick 4 times in the last month and a half , croup, stomach flu, and sinus infection (2 times) AND she is getting all four molars in at the same time. We have had a lot of this going on at our house...

However, she is turing a corner and going back to her happy little self!
We were lucky enough to go to Disney on Ice with Elsie's BFF Hadley and Preston and my BFF Morgan. Elsie was in heaven!!! She was so excited she could hardly sit still. Unfortunately she missed her afternoon nap that day so after intermission she was not so happy. It was nothing a little candy and sprite couldn't fix. Elsie had never had soda pop before and she was in heaven!

Elle also got her first haircut! It was about time I trimmed up her mullet. It was looking so scary that I finally decided to barely trim off the ends myself. I didn't want it to look like she had gotten a full on haircut so i just tried to cut of the middle part that was longer than the rest.

Her first lock of hair
The end result... it looks much better in person... I promise!

My little mountain goat... this girl is on the move 24/7. I let her just crawl around the house while I pick it up , but every few minutes I have to check on her to make sure she is not into to much trouble. This is what I found the last few times....

I don' know how she even managed to climb into the tub by herself without falling. This is why the door is supposed to always be shut!

I love this picture of Elsie and her Baby Stella or "bebe" as she calls her! Elsie is such a snuggler when it comes to anything soft. She will always put it right up to her check and say "ahh" it is so cute! She even was doing it with her bib the other day!

Here are the two loves of my life!! They make me so happy!
Our little St. Patrick's Day leprechaun!
Last but not least, I leave you with some high chair pics...

Here is Elsie with her cousin eating some dinner...these two are the cutest but they can be trouble with a capital T
And our messiest eater! We were going somewhere after and I knew she would ruin her clothes so I made her eat in her diaper. Oh and her new favorite toy... some pack man thing! She gets a kick out of it!
Love that little girl!

Killing Some Terrorists....

That is a horrible name for a post. but it fits perfectly for the horrible game! Dave is addicted to a video game...I can't even remember what the dumb thing is called. I always call it "War of Worlds" which is totally wrong and Dave always is so fast to correct me! I could go look in my bedroom (yes I said bedroom!!! that is where is plays of all places) to see the name of the stupid game that has TAKEN over my husbands life...but I am to lazy! Dave always says "honey I am killing some terrorists" so that is what we will call the crazy game that I have come accustomed to.  I know he is not alone, he plays with anyone and everyone(even the neighborhood kids), and it has come up in topic of conversation where other people says they have husbands/boyfriends addicted to it to!!
So, my whole point of the post is to share this hilarious story that sums up my life perfectly!!

Dave had just come home from work and Elsie wouldn't take her second nap. I was loosing my patients and had to get some stuff done that I couldn't do with the little miss who thinks she needs to do everything she sees me doing. I gave elsie to Dave and asked if he would watch her for a few minutes while I checked my RE emails. Two minutes later I see him hooking up the stupid play station in our room.. whatever he can do what he wants. I reminded him to watch Elsie. Another two minutes go by and she is crying on the floor. I can hear him putting her up on the bed. Of course all she wants to do it crawl to the edge so to distract her he gives her his head set. He yells for me to look at her and this is what I see...

Dave's dream... he is convinced Elsie will be "the coolest little girl who will want to do everything her dad love to do"..ie play video games and golf!

So I take some pictures and go back to do what I am trying to get done. 30 seconds later I hear Dave yelling "Heather she ate it" Elsie is notorious for trying to eat EVERTHING!! I go in and ask what he is talking about. He tells me that she was playing with the foam part of the microphone and he is positive that by the time he noticed she had it and he heard her swallow it. Okay so the foam thing is not that big, but it is probably the size of a big olive. Instantly I tell him she would be choking if she had. No he tells me he is 100% positive he heard and saw her swallow it. I call the doctor just in case (Elsie has a history of choking and last time they thought she may have had something in her lungs that could cause her is aspirate, so I am a little paranoid), thinking he would just say oh don't worry. Oh no, the doctor on call tells me that this could be a real problem and to have a plan incase she starts to have trouble swallowing liquid, in that case she would need to go the ER and get it removed if it was stuck in her throat. Oh great! Mind you that while all of this is going on Dave is STILL playing his game like nothing is happening. I tell him what the doctor said and asked him to give her a drink and see what she does. Oh no, he still is playing. He tells me its almost over. After I  mention the ER, he gets right up and grabs her a drink. Now apparently he is worried. She acts fine and so I told him to still keep and eye on her. Meanwhile I facebook about this and get 11 comments in 30 seconds. Everyone guys thinks it hilarious, they are even asking for his screen name to play together!
Ten minutes go by, Dave is still playing his game when all of the sudden he yells " I found it!!" I go in there and ask what he is talking about. I walk in to see him holding the foam part that he was so convinced Elsie swallowed!!
What  a dork!

I told him he is a great dad and always makes sure Elsie has fun, but if he were her only parent she would not survive!!

Happy 2 Years

On March 12th, Dave and I had our 2 year anniversary! It feels like we have been married so so much longer than that (in a good way)! My parents watched Elsie while we went and got massages, went shopping and had the best dinner ever at Ruth's Chris. We picked Elsie up and came home and watched a movie. It was so fun to get out and do something with Dave alone. We always either have Elsie or are with someone, so it was a fun change to just be the two of us!

I miss our wedding! Best day of my life... beside the day Miss Elsie was born. I also say I wish I could re-do our wedding day once a year!
Dave is a crack up and definitely keeps me on my toes!! Sometimes he makes me laugh so hard and can't breathe. He is perfect for me!  He is a fly by the seat of your pants type of person and is keeping me young. Hopefully I contribute somewhere in the equation! We always have so much fun together and I cant imagine my life any other way!!
I love you babe!!
