"UH OH"

These two little words are all our little girl has been saying that past few days. She has been constantly saying "Ohh, Ahh" and one day figured out to switch it and now she says "uh oh". The funniest part of it all is that when you tell her to say "uh oh" of course the little chatter box says it! She is growing up so fast!! I even moved her swing to the storage room today. I never thought I would see the day! She has yet to say the most important word of all "Mama" but her vocabulary is growing. She now says, "Dada", "Nana", "Num Num", "Uh Oh", "Ball" (it is a cross between ba and Ball so it could be Ba for bottle). She also does this little wave action with her hands when she wants something!! It is too cute!! We love this little girl!! Oh and one  more funny story for me to remember... I have been watching the little girls I used to Nanny one day a week. Elsie is seriously in love with Avery and Savannah and has a ball up at their house. Savannah always goes up to Elsie and squeezes her cheeks and says "Little Chubby Baby" in this Old Man voice. It is hysterical!! Funny girls!

PS I obviously have still not made our blog private, but I will at the end of the month! You can leave your email in a comment, I have not been posting any comments with emails!! Thanks xoxo

Going Private

I have been meaning to go private for awhile now and the time has come.
I hate to do it because to be honest I love to look at peoples blog I don't see that often and I hate it when they go private. But I have to do it for Elsie so I am making the big leap.
Leave your email in a comment or  you can email me,
heather_clarkson@yahoo.com or you can facebook  me.
I know what it is like to love to read peoples blog that you haven't talked to in forever or you don't know that well so feel free to leave your email, I do it all the time.

Thanks!!! xoxo

10 Months

Sis:

10 Months!! This was a hard pill for your Mama to swallow!!I even start to tear up writing this.  Time fly by these last few months and you have grown up faster than ever!! You are turning into such a big and busy girl. You are so active, adventurous and curious. You have mastered crawling and you are into EVERYTHING!! You see it and you race over to either open it, stick it in your mouth and grab it. You are not afraid of anything (with the exception of a few loud noises), especially getting hurt. Your poor little head gets banged and your little fingers get smashed all day long, but you just keep at it. You definitely did not get this from me. You kneel up to everything and pull yourself up on to anything you can. You are becoming little Miss Independent. This one scares me a little. When you are eating, unless you are starving, you have to help me feed you or you have to do it yourself. You love to sit in your chair and just feed yourself. But it is so so messy!! Your favorite foods are, sweet potatoes, turkey dinners, banana pieces, and yogurt.  You are officially ( I think) our of your swing. It was becoming dangerous, you kept almost falling out of it. You sleep like a champ in the basement in your pack and play where it is dark and quiet. It is your little cave. You love to sing and you always clap and dance when you hear music. You are still little miss giggles!! You love love love to laugh and be silly! People always comment on how much you laugh and how happy you always are. You are just like your dad!! Your new trick is your "ohh" and "ahh"!1 You do it ALL DAY LONG!! It is so funny and everyone loves it!! You will just sit there and over and over again ohh and ahh! You had your second plane ride and did great! You slept through most of both flights. Good thing you love motion!! You loved hanging out with cousin Brooklyn. You want to run and walk like she does so bad. You just want to be grown up already!! You love to follow her around as fast as you can. You are starting to walk well when we hold your hands or you walk with a doll stroller. You love to read books and turn the pages. Your favorite books are still Goodnight Moon, Who's a Bunny, That's Not My..., and Peekaboo. Speaking of Peakaboo.. you love love love that game! It always makes you instantly happy if you get sad. You still love baths, especially when the faucet is on, always try to dip your face in the water. When we put you in the big tub with your little pink tub you immediately start to try to crawl in the water. You want to swim so bad!! You love talking on the phone and playing with other kids. You are so social and love to be out doing things. Your favorite place is the grocery store or costco. You love to just stare and check everything out. We just put up the Christmas tree and you can't get enough of it. You love to look at it and just laugh. Elsie you are such a spunky little sweetheart who is full of life!! Daddy always said he wanted a little girl who was funny and liked to be silly and he got exactly what he wanted!! I always wanted a little princess and I got exactly what I wanted! You are more than we could have ever imagined! You are our biggest blessing and we are so lucky to be your parents! We know you have been blessed with such a special spirit and you will do great things!! You are already so aware of others around you and you can sense when others are sad . You are so sweet and happy and brighten everyones day. You are the most beautiful baby girl and we love love love you!!

November

I am also so late putting things up on the blog, but here is what we were up to in November

Elsie has grown up SO much this month. She takes her playtime very seriously and just wants to play all day long! She usually wants to play with everything but her toys!

I turned the big 26 on the 13th. This was how I started my day out and it was the best present ever!! How could you not love that face!! After breakfast Elsie and I did some shopping with my mom, had lunch and then my whole family went to The Dodo for dinner!

For Thanksgiving this year we went with Dave's family down to Scottsdale to spend it with the Burbidges. We had so much fun and we loved seeing Dav'es Aunt, Uncle and cousins! It was my first time down there and needless to say I feel in love!! I could move their in a heart beat. It was my kind of town.... warm all year, great shopping, great food... Elsie and I were in heaven. Elsie did great on the plane ride sitting with her Grandpa. Luckily the child still loves motion so she slept for most of the ride.
It was Brookyln's first time flying and she did great!!
Thanksgiving day... yes I dyed my hair brown. This is an awful picture but you get the idea. My cute friend Callie lives in AZ and so we had her over for dinner and it was so fun to see her!
Here are the little hood rats on game day. They had just gotten out of the bath and were looking for trouble

The Burbidges backyard was absolutely amazing!! Elsie of course loved swinging on the swings. She also loved to practice crawling on the little putting course, but she took a big tumble down the hill and scratched her face! She also kept getting into the cupboards, lost her balance and got a major owie on her head. She is our little busy bee!

After church on Sunday we went and feed the ducks! The little girls were in heaven!

This is one of Elsie's favorite pastimes... feeding herself in her chair. She is becoming so independent and loves to just eat her little snacks herself. She will sit in there forever and just hum to herself as she eats!
This is her new favorite pastime....crawling! She crawls everywhere and is so fast now! She always races for the stairs or Dave's fake dog Pero. She loves this thing as much as her dad and ever other child that comes to our house. She crawls to it and just sits and pats it!

Oh my heck I feel like a self taught web designer... not really I am totally joking. But i have finally revamped the Blue Lily blog and updated the posts. Poor Elsie has played on the floor all day neglected while I figured everything out. It took forever, I am no computer whiz but check it out and let me know what you think. We have lots and lots of posts to make but it is a start!!

9 Months

Little Miss Elsie:
I can hardly believe you are really 9 months old! It has crept up on us fast. You have changed so much this month and you are growing up so fast! Too fast if you ask me but I can't make time slow down... I wish I could! I feel like every time I turn around you are doing something new. I am writing down in your calendar everyday something new you have mastered. You are not officially crawling but you have your own little system of getting around and you can get around pretty far. You crawl backwards, scoot on your arms, roll, rock like crazy on your hands and knees, and kind of worm forward. You have mastered moving from your tummy to sitting up and from sitting up to laying down. You also love to crawl under beds and couches which  means you get your chubby little legs stuck all the time. You have learned to open up drawers and it has become when of your new favorite things. You are working on pulling yourself up onto things and can stand holding onto things really well. You are such a curious baby! At your doctors appointment Dr. Schmidt couldn't believe how curious you were. You had to check everything out. Your eyes were darting everywhere. You can't take it in fast enough. You have to check everything out and you get so mad if you are unable to. Church is slowly getting out of control. There are so many new things and people that you can hardly handle your excitement. You want to be everywhere and do everything all at the same time. You love to clap your hands especially when we say Yay or we ohh and ahh over you! You have started to get a little nervous when you get strangers, or you get shy and lay your head on me. You love to reach to the person you want to hold you or reach you hands up when you want to be picked up. You still love music and love it when we sing songs. You clap your hands and try to sing too. Your favorite songs are "The Wheels on the Bus" and"I Feel Pretty". You love love love food! When you are eating you always hum and you have started to say "num num". It is my favorite thing! You also love to eat puffs and cherrio's. I put you in your chair and pour some onto your tray and you go crazy. You grab those suckers and start stuffing them in your mouth. You could sit in there for hours and just feed yourself. You also love to help me feed you baby food. Sometimes you won't eat until I have let you help me for a few spoonfuls! You are so funny and have such a personality! You also love baths and to play with your bath toys. When I turn the faucet on you get so excited and wiggle all over. It is your favorite part of bath time! You have gotten 4 teeth the past week and one is about to break through any-day now! That makes for 6 total. It was a rough week but things are getting better!! You still love books, especially "Who's a Bunny" and you love your toys. You will play for hours even if your exhausted you still keep playing. You are still such a sweet and happy girl!! You love to be around people and other kids. You will always recognize other babies or kids and you get so excited and want to play. You love t be silly and show off for whoever will watch. If you know we think something is funny you will keep doing it to keep us laughing!! You even get mad or sad if someone stops playing with you or giving you attention. You for the most part are still easy going and content to do whatever. You have started to get a little bit more persistent if you want something or you let us know if you don't want something. We love you so much sissy, you are our everything and the sunshine in our lives!! I always miss you when your sleeping at night or taking naps . I am so lucky to spend all day with you and be your mama!! You teach me so much and have helped me grow! You are the best sidekick ever! You are Daddy's little princess and you two love to play together. Your favorite is when he tosses you in the air! You are everything we could ever ask for! We are so blessed to have a happy healthy baby girl! We love you!!
xoxo Mommy and Daddy

End of October

We have had such a fun October and Halloween...
here are some of the things we have been up to!

We went to dinner to see our favorite girls and luckily we have been able to watch them one day a week for the past few weeks. Elsie love these little girlies and they love her too!
We had a little costumer fashion show...

We went to our neighborhood chili cook off
Gearing up for Halloween in our pumpkin jammies
We went to Gardner Village with my mom, my sister. Adrienne, Claire, Miss Avery and the rest of the world
Elsie and cousin Brooklyn in their new play pen

Elsie's crazy morning hair do
Elsie is starting to stand really well and trying to pull herself up onto things

We also went to Thanksgiving point with Avery. She apparently was not in the mood for pictures

Elsie loves to clap clap clap at everything. She is so cute and will clap at herself when you start to Ohh and Ahh over her
The morning it snowed we took Elsie outside to touch the snow. She was not impressed at all... hopefully it will grow on it
Elsie also rocks on her hands and knees all the time. She is not officially  crawling forward but she crawls backwards and does this little scoot move to get around
We went to a fun Halloween party that the cute Logan girls put together. Elsie dressed up as a fairy for the party and she had so much fun!
She got to see her little boyfriend Otis
And she even rode a pony!

Elsie's new favorite thing is to sit in her chair and eat puffs or cereal. It makes her so happy and she will sit there for ever and just stuff her little mouth. She got so excited that she didn't realize she had left one on her face
Dave and I went to a Halloween party that some of our neighbors put together. It was so much fun! We dressed up as Snookie and The Situation. This is not the greatest picture but you get the idea
On Saturday we went to Dave's aunt and uncle's Halloween party. It was so much fun! Here is Elsie and Brooklyn with Zack and Miles.
We even got to go on a hay ride which Elsie loved love loved
My neighbor across the street has a little girl Mckenzie that is a week older than Elsie. They both had the same two costumes so Ali brought her over before trick or treating and we got some pictures of the girls. Here they are in their fairy costumes. Mckenzie is a pumpkin fairy and Elsie is a tulip fairy
And here they are as ladybugs. These little girls are so cute and are going to besties one day!
I love how Mckenzie is just snuggling up to Elsie. She kept putting her head on Elsie.. it was so funny!
My parents, Chad and Ashley, Dave's parents and Mike and Traci came over Saturday night for taco soup, treats, trick or treating and the Utah game. We had so much fun and were so glad that everyone came over to see Elsie on her first Halloween.
We took her trick or treating and of course she loved it. She just sucked on all the wrappers. Here is Elsie with our cute neighbor Zack
And her is Elsie with her mentor and BFF Hadley. Elsie loves miss Hadley and she is so lucky that Hadley loves her too!! Hadley is so good with Elsie and is always coming to visit her!
Elsie with my parents
Elsie and Brooklyn with Dave's parents
She kept eating all the candy wrappers and then finally struck the jackpot. She was so excited she wouldn't let go of the kit kat to save her life
Elsie with her Auntie Ashley
Last but not least here is Elsie with her pumpkins. U for the Utes and E for Elsie!
