I was induced 2 weeks before my due date with Lilly. It was only a week before I was originally going to be induced but it came unexpectedly so I was frantic to get everything ready. I was measuring small at all of my last appointments so they did ultrasounds and lots of non stress tests. She always looked really healthy but was measuring small so they decided to induce me at 38 weeks. We went in Tuesday morning at about 9. After getting all settled in they decided to needed to run medicine through my IV for at least 4 hours before I delivered. Dr. Ponder was afraid I would go fast since I did with Elsie so she made them wait to start pitocin until 11:30 and kept it at the lowest dose until 1:30 when they would break my water. Nothing of course was happening and I was getting so impatient. At 2 they finally broke my water and I got the epidural. Things still were still not progressing, I was only at a 2. I thought I was going to die. My doctor had just walked into a c-section so they still were keeping the piton levels low. Finally at 4 they got the pitocin at a level that was giving good contractions. At 5 I was at a 5 and then 20 min later I felt all this pressure and of course I started getting so sick. Sure enough i was at a ten but the doctor was still in surgery so we had to wait until 6. 15 min later our sweet baby girl entered the world! She was perfectly healthy and tiny as can be! She came out with all that dark hair looking just like her sister!!! Elsie came in to meet her a few minters later along with my parents and Dave's parents. Elsie was so excited to finally meet Baby Sister!! Things have gone really well and Elsie is adjusting so well!! We are so in love with our new baby girl! She is a sweetie for sure!!
And here she is One Week Old...
